Sunday - Friday. My hours of business are sometimes unusual (even in the evening), hence why there is no contact number on my ‘Contact Us‘ page. You will get a faster response via email as these are often answered when out of the office.
Public Holidays, Saturday - closed
Upcoming holidays for Gifted Memories where no orders can be processed until my return
Payment can be made either via direct deposit (allow 1 - 2 business days to clear), or instantly by credit card, or by using Paypal, or Post Office money order. All details are available at checkout.
Unfortunately phone orders are not accepted due to the way the payment gateway on my website is structured. All orders need to be placed on the website so that you are able to keep track of the progress of your order, and so that I have all the details that you have written, rather than what may be mistakenly taken down by a phone call.
If you are uncertain about using the credit card details via my fully secure 128-bit encrypted payment page, other options for payment are available upon going through checkout.
All postage prices are available upon going through checkout, before any money is paid.
For those that have ordered an ‘email only‘ product, you can expect to receive your emailed item generally within 1 business day.
At this stage, all shipping is via Australia Post, both express and standard.
For those that wish their certificates to be mailed, posting occurs the following business day if ordered prior to 5pm AEST. Australia Post don‘t always strictly stick to their estimated delivery times, but please check my Postage Options page for estimated delivery times.
For those living overseas, International shipping is fine. If you find that the check out process will not allow you to enter your country, please send me an email and let me know and I will add it within 24 hours.
Please note that there are no refunds once emailed/mailed. Please make sure that when you give the details of the recipient that you double check all the information. If information is incorrect and new certificates need to be created, charges will apply.
Refunds are not available on certificates already emailed or posted as the information has then been provided, unless there is an error on my part.
If an item is damaged in the post, it will be replaced. Please notify me within 2 days of receiving the item.
If the item is lost in transit, an inquiry will be lodged with Australia Post. Please note that if the item is not insured, it cannot be replaced, and it is also very hard to track, especially if just a certificate. It is for this reason it is recommended that you purchase insurance for an additional $3.
There are no refunds offered on personalised products unless it was my error. This is due to the fact that you can‘t resell personalised products to others.
Gift Wrapping and a gift card can be included for an extra $1. This is especially useful for those purchasing for someone living in another state or country. Please be sure to specify gift wrapping at check out. Note that it is not available for certificates (it‘s a bit hard to wrap a certificate unless it is framed).
The certificates are either printed on high-quality pre-printed paper, or on to glossy photo paper.
Hand-Stamping vs Engraving
Hand-stamping and engraving are both options on many of my products. It does help to know what hand-stamping is before you purchase an item with this option. Hand Stamping involves using a hammer and individual metal letter stamps, and hammering the name onto the item. A fair amount of pressure is used, and quite often the indentation can be seen on the reverse of the item. It can also be off centre a little, but this should be seen as a unique quality of the item rather than a fault. The benefit of hand-stamping means you are giving a gift with a ‘hand-made‘; look, and letters can also be blackened to make the text stand out (or ‘pop‘).
Engraving, on the other hand, is a very exact way of personalising an item. I have a machine (which, by how much it cost me, should have a steering wheel attached so I can drive it around!) that can place the text exactly where I want it, it leaves no indentations, and there is a fair amount of freedom to change things and fit things in. BUT, the letters cannot be blackened.
It is all up to personal choice, but having the knowledge to know the difference means you have a better understanding of how your item will look when you receive it.
